Here are just some of the many proposal ideas that we have found.

1.) Crossword Puzzle
Create a crossword puzzle describing the many qualities you love about him/her. Within the puzzle include clues that have answers to the words, will, you, marry, and me.

2.) Reliving Your First Date
Remember where and when you first met? Reminisce a little of what took place. End the moment with “It’s been an amazing journey with you so far, and now I want to take the next step in that journey. Will you marry me?”

3.) At the Movies
Go to a movie that he/she has wanted to go and see. Pre-movie slide shows used for marketing and promotions are becoming more and more popular. Talk to the manager to see what it would take to have a slide created to ask for his/her hand in marriage.

4.) Scavenger/Treasure Hunt
Create a list of clues that take him/her on a hunt for more clues. Make the final clue be a special location where you will be located. Then ask the question. For more fun have friends or family help with the hunt.

5.) Chain of Signs
Create a chain of five signs set up on a route he/she commonly travels. Each sign will have one word (person’s name, Will, You, Marry, and Me) Place them all together or have them at each turn. You could give a hint to “look for signs of my love for you on your way home.” Be standing outside waiting for when he/she arrives with flowers and the ring.

6.) Puzzle
Have a picture taken of you with the ring. Include several words that describe your feelings towards him/her. Once the puzzle is complete ask the question.

7.) Trivia Game
Play a trivia game when you are with family and/or friends. When it is your turn to ask the question. Instead of reading the question included with the game, casually ask, “Will you marry me?”

8.) Romantic Walk
Take a walk in a favorite location. This could be the beach, in the park, in the woods, etc. Plan ahead and write the words “Will you marry me” in the sand, with sidewalk chalk, or with branches. Have the ring ready when your creation is discovered!

9.) Slide Show or Picture Book
Create a slide show or picture book of photos of the two of you together. On the last slide or the last page ask the question or have the words, “reserved for wedding photos,” then ask the question.

10.) Fortune Cookies
If you have a favorite Chinese restaurant, plan ahead and have a special fortune cookie ready. Carefully take out the normal fortune and insert a fortune that asks the question. Have the ring ready right after the cookie is broke open.

11.) Love Notes
Place notes around his/her house. In each note write something that you love about your sweetheart. Be sure to leave a clue as to where the next note is located.  On the last note suggest where the next note is located but instead of a note you are ready with flowers and the ring. Say something nice such as “for these reasons and more I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?”

12.) Music to My Ears
Does he/she have a favorite radio station? Talk to the radio station in advance to see how they could help. Have a favorite song play just before you come on the air and ask the question. Have him/her call the station phone number with the answer. A second option would be to purchase and ad that could run immediately after the song so you could be with the person to present the ring.
